At the age of 14, after hearing the Beatles’ first chart-topping song, Osbourne became a devotee. Career:

In 1967, Osbourne formed his first band, Rare Breed, with Geezer Butler. After just two concerts, the band disbanded.

Osbourne and Butler formed another band, Earth, with guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward. In August 1969, they renamed the black band Sabbath and began to perform an intense blues sound with occult overtones.

In February 1970, the band released their self-titled first album, ‘Black Sabbath.’

The album garnered mixed reviews from reviewers but was a commercial smash.
